Bourbon Brown Sugar Syrup

Warm, boozy syrup perfect for coffee, cocktails and mocktails.

Ingredients

  • Boiling water — 2 cups
  • Dark brown sugar — 2 cups
  • Bourbon — 1 shot (1.5 oz)

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Chubby Bottle

Instructions

  1. Bring water to boil in saucepan
  2. Add dark brown sugar and stir until completely dissolved
  3. Add bourbon and stir to combine
  4. Simmer for 5 minutes to reduce and concentrate flavors
  5. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature
  6. Store in Chubby Bottle in refrigerator
