F70 Ceramic Pour Over

The F70 is a more forgiving pour-over method that creates a balanced coffee for the beginner and advanced alike.

Ingredients

  • Coffee beans — 18g
  • Hot water — 270ml

Equipment

  • Hario Scale
  • Ode Grinder
  • F70 Ceramic Pour Over
  • F70 Paper Pour Over Filters
  • Kinto Carafe

Instructions

  1. Heat water to 204°F/96°C
  2. Grind coffee to medium-fine (Fellow Ode Grinder Level 4)
  3. Place F70 filter in brewer and rinse with hot water
  4. Add coffee grounds and create a small well
  5. Start with 50 gram bloom pour, wait 30 seconds
  6. At 45 seconds: Pour 80g in slow, steady spirals maintaining water level. Don't touch the sides with the water.
  7. At 1:30: Pour 80g in slow, steady spirals maintaining water level. Don't touch the sides with the water.
  8. At 2:15: Pour remaining 60g to reach 270g total
  9. Total brew time should be 3:45 (3 minutes 45 seconds)
  10. Remove filter and serve
